How to book a commission with Candace Alexandres

Painting commissions has a very special place in my heart.  It's a profound honor to craft a unique piece of art for someone's home, and I believe in making the process deeply personal and cherished for both my client and myself.

To ensure each commissioned artwork receives my utmost attention and care, I limit the number of commissions I undertake. This allows me to devote my full creativity and energy to each piece, ensuring it becomes a truly special and meaningful creation.

If you're considering commissioning a painting from me, please take a moment to fill out the questionnaire below. Once I receive your responses, I'll be in touch to provide more details about each step of the commission process.

Commission FAQ

  • I only paint commissions in my own landscape, floral, fruit/botanical, and abstract styles (see my website and Instagram for lots of inspiration). I don’t paint human or animal portraits or in styles that are not my own.

  • Paintings on Canvas

Works on canvas are available in a large variety of sizes from 30x40cm and up.

    Paintings on Paper

Paintings on thick, fine art paper are available from 20x25cm up to 70x100cm.

Please note that my watercolor/gouache work is available on paper only. Acrylic paintings are available on paper or canvas.

  • My commissioned paintings range from $200-$2000+ depending on the size and substrate chosen (paper vs canvas.)

Please be as detailed as possible in the questionnaire below so that I can provide you with a quote.

  • A 50% deposit is required upfront before I begin painting. The deposit is non-refundable.

The final 50% is required upon completion, prior to shipping.

  • There will be an opportunity during my painting process where you can provide feedback and I can make adjustments where possible. Additional rounds of revisions will be at an added cost.

  • Absolutely! am happy to work with you to incorporate specific colors into your painting.

  • I typically complete commissioned pieces in 4-8 weeks. I don’t accept commissions with very tight deadlines. Beautiful things take time and stressed artists don’t paint good paintings.

  • As the artist, I retain the copyright to any artwork that I produce unless we agree to otherwise in our contract. (Essentially, this means that, while you will own the original commissioned art, you can’t make reproductions of it for personal use or for profit.)
