About the Art & Ordering

  • I use acrylic paint for my fine art. I love using this medium for it’s vibrancy and ability to build up layers.

    My illustration work is typically done with gouache and watercolor or digitally.

  • Rolled Canvas prints: These prints are made with the same quality canvas material that you’d see on the wall in a museum, they just aren’t stretched onto a wooden frame. Like traditional paper prints, these canvas prints can be framed in a standard picture frame with or without glass. (For larger sizes 30x40+, we suggest mounting the print to gator board or masonite.)

    This is a great option for those looking to have artwork shipped outside the continental USA.

    Stretched Canvas Prints: These ready-to-hang prints come stretched on 1.25” wooden stretcher bars with hanging hardware installed.

    The sides of the canvas will be mirror-wrapped, meaning they will reflect a portion of the front of the canvas. This ensures that the full artwork can be seen on the front of the canvas with sides that blend with the artwork.

    Stretched canvas prints can only be shipped within the continental USA.

    Stretched and Framed Canvas Prints: Each framed print comes stretched on 1.5-inch thick stretcher bars and framed within a beautiful solid wood floater frame with hanging hardware preinstalled.

    White and black frames are approx .6” thick, while the thin natural wood frame is approx .25” thick.

    Framed canvas prints can only be shipped within the continental USA.

  • Colors may vary based on your screen/device, so product colors may look slightly different in person. Images are color-corrected for devices as best as possible.

    In an effort to offer a variety of standard sizes, some of the ratios are cropped and vary slightly from the listing photo.

  • All funds on this site are quoted and charged in USD. If you are buying in another currency, consider using a credit card that does not charge foreign transaction fees.

Illustration Services

  • Please allow 1–2 weeks for prints to ship. Each high-quality print is “made to order” and produced on a large format, state-of-the-art printer. Prints are shipped in either a flat mailer or shipping tube from the professional USA-based print shop that I partner with.

  • Yes, every order includes a shipping number.

  • Art Prints: All prints are custom made so unfortunately they are not refundable or exchangeable. If your print or the frame of your print has been damaged in transit, please head to the contact page and leave a message WITHIN 7 DAYS of receiving the print. We will request photos of the damages and let you know if your order qualifies for a replacement.

    Original Art: No returns on original art are accepted. All painting marks, light blemishes, or tears are part of the art.

    If you aren’t completely satisfied with your purchase or you have any other customer service needs, please contact me. The satisfaction of my collectors is of the utmost importance to me.

  • Please note that all print orders are shipped from the USA.

    Rolled canvas prints are available for international shipping.

    Customers living outside the USA are responsible for any customs/duty fees and taxes. Please remember to check your email and track your package so that there are no issues with failed deliveries/unpaid customs fees.

    If a package is returned to me due to the customer not paying the fees or taxes, the customer is responsible for added shipping costs and any fees/taxes incurred on the second attempt.

  • If your package is lost in transit, please email me so we can work together to start an insurance claim with the shipper. Please note that many carriers will require a certain number of days to pass based on your location before officially marking the shipment as lost. In some cases, you will need to contact your local mail system directly.

 

 

Original Works

  • Yes, I am currently accepting new illustration opportunities. Please review my illustrations services page for more details then contact me with more information about your project. I look forward to discussing your illustration needs with you.

  • Prints of my illustrations are available on my Etsy shop. These prints ship internationally.

Candace Alexandres retains the rights to all of her artwork. That means that she retains the right to reproduce original artwork (in the form of prints, etc.). Collectors can purchase partial rights to artwork to ensure that their original painting is never reproduced, contact me for details.
